Norman S. Rich is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Weis Markets Inc., a food retailer operating 156 stores in five states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia.

Mr. Rich began his career with Weis Markets in 1964, as Director of Quality Control. During his career with Weis Markets, he has worked in a variety of store operations and executive positions. He became Company President in 1994.

Mr. Rich holds degrees in food science from the State University of New York and the University of Georgia. He is a professional member of Institute of Food Technologists. Mr. Rich also holds a Masters Degree from Syracuse University.

Mr. Rich is currently a member of the Food Marketing Institute's (FMI) Board of Directors and chairs its audit committee. In addition, he is a board member of St. Joseph's University's Academy of Food Marketing.

Mr. Rich is active in a number of charities including the Children's Miracle Network for the Children's Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, PA. He also serves on the Board of the Central Susquehanna Valley United Way and is the Board's current chairman.
