Manohar, a former merchant mariner, joined the Merchant Navy at 19 and sailed for six years before coming ashore to complete an M.S. in Transportation Management from SUNY Maritime College. After graduation, he spent 19 years in various ascending roles in the logistics domain at two of the world’s largest liner shipping companies, Hapag Lloyd and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. At the turn of the century, Manohar transitioned to the IT domain within Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, where he began migrating the company’s applications to the internet to enhance customer services.
Following the tragic events of 9/11, Manohar joined Lockheed Martin in 2004, focusing on business opportunities related to port security, coastal surveillance, and land and maritime border surveillance. His work territory included the Middle East and Africa. After seven years at Lockheed Martin, Manohar worked with CSC for a couple of years, providing IT services to one of the Class I railroads.
Subsequently, he founded Intelistics, which offers IT advisory and consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses.
