Carlisle, PA – Giant Food Stores opened its second location in Carlisle on Friday, April 8 at Stonehedge Square, 950 Walnut Bottom Road. GIANT acquired the former Nell's Shurfine Market in late February and recently finished renovations to the store.
The new 51,800 square foot store employs approximately 150 full and part-time associates.
Todd Kinter, an 18-year Giant veteran, will take the reins as store manager. The store opens 6 a.m. until midnight, seven days a week.
The supermarket features market fresh produce, with locally-grown and organic fruits and vegetables, an expanded organic section and a salad bar. Other fresh departments include a full service meat and seafood department and the Giant signature bakery department. To help customers save time and eat well, the Stonehedge Square Giant will feature expanded deli and prepared food offerings, including freshly prepared sushi, ready-to-eat sandwiches and salads, soups and entrees.
