- PFMA Membership Development Director Gary Lauer visited many PFMA members last month to find out how the association can better serve them.
- PFMA hosted a Food Protection Committee meeting on June 18, featuring speakers Dr. Lydia Johnson of the Department of Agriculture (PDA) on the state’s Food Emergency Response Plan, and Derek Ruhl, PDA, on the state’s High Path Avian Influenza response plan.
- On June 24, Steve Neidlinger represented PFMA on a conference call with the state Department of Insurance and its technology contractor on Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund reporting.

- PFMA staff attended the Fill A Glass of Hope campaign press conference in Harrisburg, where the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, PennAg Industries, the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association and campaign sponsors unveiled the campaign raised more than $150,000 to date to provide fresh milk to needy Pennsylvanians.
