Meeting will be held during the 2018 PA Farm Show
How do we connect Pennsylvania growers with retailers who want to offer their customers with locally grown products? In October, PFMA held an Agricultural Summit in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) at its 2017 Fall Legislative Conference to consider the issue, and collaborate on the future of the state's food system. The Summit served only as a starting point to bring together industry leaders and stakeholders to share ideas and best practices.
We want to keep the conversation going, and invite you to join us on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, as we begin to develop a work plan to get more Pennsylvania-grown produce and other products into Pennsylvania stores. The meeting will be held at the Farm Show Complex and Expo Center from 1- 2:30 p.m. in the Delaware Room (on the Maclay Street side of the building). An agenda will be sent prior to the meeting.
Please let Meagan Thorpe know if you plan to attend, and please keep in mind that extra time for travel/parking may be needed due to annual Farm Show traffic.
We look forward to seeing you on January 9!
