The food business is exciting, rewarding, and not for the faint of heart. Your industry is often ahead of the curve in experiencing the fast pace of competitive disruption and the need to continually reinvent the model to serve you and your customers into the future.
At PPO&S Integrated Marketing Communications, we know and love the food business, and we respect what it takes to succeed. As a new associate member of PFMA, we’re delighted to introduce ourselves to the food merchants who are members of this association.
PPO&S is a full-service, award-winning advertising agency located a block away from the Capitol building in Harrisburg. Since our founding more than 35 years ago, PPO&S has developed into one of the most successful communications practices in central Pennsylvania with a team of experts who not only understand the full gamut of channels and tools available, but also how to utilize them effectively. Our fact-based strategies and creativity have served up measurable results for a variety of private and public service clients at the regional, statewide and national levels.
So what sets us apart? We understand the dynamics of the food business and appreciate the challenges you face, whether it’s an opportunity to motivate more customers to shop in your stores, communicate effectively with your associates or respond quickly and sure-footedly to the risks inherent in today’s dynamic marketplace.
Within the arena of food and agriculture, Team PPO&S has several decades of experience that includes helping the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture brand the PA Preferred program. We’re so proud of that and know that you are too. We’ve also worked with PA-based growers, processors, manufacturers, retailers and food banks to effectively tell their stories, build brand loyalty and solve a wide variety of communications-related challenges.
We recently strengthened our bench by bringing on award-winning food industry strategist Tracy Pawelski. As the former vice president of external communications for a $26 billion grocery retail leader, Tracy oversaw strategies for community engagement, media relations, crisis communications and reputation management, including product recalls and customer satisfaction.
Tracy has a deep passion for the business and a commitment to corporate responsibility. Her hands-on experience in consumer advocacy, crisis communications and community relations provides the team with a deep understanding of industry issues and customer expectations.
Tracy leads the agency team focused on the discipline of reputation management – the process of both enhancing as well as protecting the good reputation of your organization with all of your key audiences. This is especially relevant in the food industry where it is part of your DNA to maintain trusted relationships with your customers, suppliers, investors, and communities.
PPO&S’s goal is to help clients maximize good will with key stakeholder audiences as well as prepare for the contingencies you face in the food industry – everything from supply chain disruptions and food safety concerns to data breaches and labor issues. Our job is to make sure that your team is fully prepared to respond to the challenges and threats that you may face.
See you in aisle 7!
