The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA), a statewide organization supporting grocers, convenience store owners, wholesalers, distributors and others in the food and beverage industry, applauds the recent efforts by state and federal officials working together to implement a phased approach to safely reopen many Pennsylvania businesses and get millions of citizens back to work.
“We look forward to the continued collaboration between our elected officials and health experts to carry out a plan to get Pennsylvania back on the road to economic recovery amid the devastating COVID-19 pandemic,” PFMA President & CEO Alex Baloga said. “The plans outlined by the Wolf Administration and U.S. Senator Pat Toomey reflect a shared desire to implement a regional-based and numbers-driven approach to reopening Pennsylvania’s economy.”
