The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association, an association of more than 800 food retailers, is seeking an Association Services Manager (ASM). This position will be responsible for coordinating member education and networking opportunities, supporting legislative activities, and serving as a resource for member inquiries.
The ASM will work in conjunction with the President and CEO to monitor state and local legislative and regulatory efforts, activate grassroots advocacy networks, author regular articles and email updates on legislative and regulatory subjects, record legislative conference calls, and respond to member inquiries concerning store operation and food code requirements. In addition, the ASM will coordinate PFMA’s educational efforts, including conducting regular webinars, working with member volunteers to plan professional and format-specific committee meetings and communications, and collaborating with a small team to plan a spring conference and fall legislative conference.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, or have equivalent experience. Candidates should have one to two years experience in member services, association operations, or meeting planning and have an employment history displaying initiative and accountability.
