PFMA members are encouraged to register for the October 28 Northeast Regional Loss Prevention Conference and Exhibition. The program kicks off at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, NJ at 8:30 a.m.
The day begins with the introduction of the new New Jersey/New York Organized Retail Crime Alliance (ORCA) by Sergeant Tarik Sheppard of the NYPD. He will provide a demonstration of the ORCA website and data sharing tools.
Following that presentation will be an overview of a recent coupon fraud investigation presented by Pennsylvania State Trooper Peterson, and later, Chris Zevlikaris of Sisselman & Schwartz will give a detailed presentation on false arrests and civil liability from an employer's perspective. The day will conclude with a Digital Disaster workshop hosted by Ron Plesco, KPMG and former CEO of the National Cyber Forensic Training Alliance. This workshop will provide a detailed background of recent data breaches and how to best deal with a digital disaster. This is followed by a hands-on experience of what to do in crisis situations that may arise. A closing reception will begin at 3:30 p.m.
