Steve Neidlinger joins the PFMA team

Steve Neidlinger, CAE, recently joined the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) as manager of legislative research.

He will research legislative and regulatory issues, serve as a liaison to communicate emergency planning issues, manage the association’s committees and provide government relations coverage in the monthly newsletter.

Neidlinger has twelve years of association experience in member services, legislative advocacy, project management and meeting planning. He previously worked for the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association as membership engagement specialist where he worked to implement programs that increased member retention and association visibility. He also worked for the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association as a membership and outreach coordinator implementing strategies to recruit and retain member agencies and related businesses.

“We are pleased to welcome Steve to the PFMA team,” said Alex Baloga, director of government and public relations. “His extensive association background will bring new ideas, help PFMA members get their legislative and regulatory questions answered and keep them informed on important issues that could impact their businesses.”

Neidlinger earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) accreditation from the American Society of Association Executives.
