Help and Information for SNAP Shoppers

Pennsylvania has been notified that if the federal government shutdown continues, November 2025 SNAP benefits will not be issued on the regular schedule. Benefits already loaded to your EBT card before October 31 remain available and can be used as normal. Before shopping in November, SNAP recipients should check their EBT balance online at www.compass.state.pa.us or by calling 1-888-EBT-PENN (1-888-328-7366) to confirm available funds.

You may continue to receive eligibility notices or see November benefits listed in your COMPASS case summary. However, if the federal shutdown continues, those benefits will not be posted to your card until federal funding is restored. Applications and renewals will still be accepted and processed, so please continue to submit any requested documents to ensure your benefits can be issued as soon as possible once federal SNAP funding resumes.

Sharing this informational poster helps connect SNAP shoppers and retailers with timely updates, local food resources, and critical assistance during the federal shutdown. PFMA created it to make accurate information easy to find and share across communities.
