PFMA Names Ryan Middleton and Michael Cotherman to Board of Directors

The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) has named Ryan Middleton of PepsiCo and Michael Cotherman of McLane Company, Inc. to its Board of Directors.

Middleton, Government Affairs Senior Manager for PepsiCo’s Northeast U.S. region, succeeds Deriece Harrington. He has more than a decade of experience in public policy, government affairs and community leadership.

At PepsiCo, Middleton works with state and local governments across the Northeast on policy, sustainability and corporate responsibility. He previously served as Director of CountyStat for Prince George’s County, worked in the Office of the County Executive and served as a field representative for U.S. Senator Ben Cardin.

Middleton earned degrees from Cornell University and Michigan State University College of Law.

Cotherman, Senior National Account Manager with McLane Company, rejoins the board and succeeds Charles Irons. He brings 28 years of experience in convenience-store distribution, customer partnerships and account leadership.

In his current role, Cotherman manages one of the nation’s five largest convenience-store chains. A lifelong Pennsylvanian, he has worked closely with convenience-store operators across the state.

“Ryan and Michael bring strong experience in public policy, retail operations and supply chains,” said Alex Baloga, president and CEO of PFMA. “Their perspectives will help PFMA continue advocating for members, supporting member businesses statewide and strengthening Pennsylvania’s food and beverage industry.”
