CAMP HILL, PA (April 2026) – The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) announced that Joy Sgro, Vice President and General Manager at C&S Wholesale Grocers, has joined the PFMA Board of Directors.
Sgro brings more than 40 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a career focused on wholesale distribution, merchandising, and supporting the success of independent grocers. She has spent decades working closely with retailers, helping them navigate daily challenges and strengthen their role in the communities they serve.
“I am extremely honored to join the PFMA Board of Directors,” said Joy Sgro. “Supporting independent grocers has been the focus of my career, and I appreciate the opportunity to continue that work alongside PFMA and its members.”
Sgro first joined C&S Wholesale Grocers in 2015, where she led merchandising for the Robesonia division. After a two-year retirement beginning in 2020, she returned to the company in February 2022. In her current role, she manages key retailer relationships across the Robesonia, Dubois, and Olean regions.
In addition to her industry leadership, Sgro has served on multiple boards throughout her career, including as Chairman of the Board for the National Frozen and Refrigerated Association in 2017.
“Joy brings a deep understanding of the food and beverage industry and the needs of independent grocers,” said Alex Baloga, President and CEO of PFMA. “Her experience and perspective will be a strong asset to our board and our members.”
The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association advocates for the food and beverage industry across the Commonwealth, representing retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers.
